Event Details

LP2CD+ is a survey of over 40 years of high notes in design for music featuring inspiring favorites from Clif's own LP, CD and poster collections as well as some of Stoltze Design's own projects for the music industry.

In conjunction with the talk, Clif will bring a selection of music concert posters from the POSTGIG traveling exhibit.

Bio:

Clifford Stoltze is the founder and creative director of Stoltze Design, a 8-person studio located in Boston, MA. Capabilities include strategic design for print, interactive media and packaging. Over the past 25 years, Stoltze has worked with a diverse group of clients including education, publishing, technology, financial and entertainment.

Stoltze Design has been featured in Communication Arts, ID, How, Print, Step, Graphis and Émigré Magazine and received numerous awards from national design organizations including: The American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), The American Center for Design, and The Type Directors Club. Published and exhibited internationally, his work is also in the permanent collection of the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum. Clif has taught at Rhode Island School of Design and Massachusetts College of Art and frequently lectures at schools and design organizations around the country. Clif’s is the author of the book 1000 Music Graphics published by Rockport Publishing, he teaches at Rhode Island School of Design, is a member of the AIGA advisory board and was honored by being the recipient of the 2005 AIGA Boston Fellows Award.
